Rogers County Road Update: Winter Storm Response
Rogers County's three commissioner districts are all-hands-on-deck as our road crews battle this significant winter storm. Here’s a look at what’s being managed across our county and why your patience is critical right now:
District Breakdown & Road Miles:

District 1 – Commissioner Dan DeLozier maintains 460.31 miles
District 2 – Commissioner Steve Hendrix maintains 384.87 miles
District 3 – Commissioner Chairman Ron Burrows maintains 314.82 miles
Current Operations:
Our road crews have been out treating [sand/salt] and plowing continuously—many on 24-hour split shifts—to keep roads as passable as possible. With this much ground to cover, progress takes time, especially in heavy conditions.
Priority List:
In this order: Main roads, collector roads, residential roads, county facilities (critical), county facilities (non-critical).
Not addressed: Private roads and private parking lots.
Why Multiple Passes Are Necessary:
Even after a road is plowed, ongoing snowfall requires crews to make several return passes. Overnight, we’re expecting another wave of snow with sleet on top of existing snow and ice. This will extend clearing times.
We Need Your Patience & Cooperation:
- Please avoid travel if possible.
- If you must drive, stay far behind plows and never attempt to pass.
- Understand that some roads may remain slick even after treatment/plowing.
Transportation crews are committed to working until district routes are addressed. Thank you for your patience and for supporting our crews as they work to keep Rogers County safe.
