Responsibilities of the Public Relations Department

  • Respond to requests for information from the media.
  • Communicate with officials from local, county, state entities, and bid awardees regarding County Commissioner projects.
  • Develop, implement, collaborate, and evaluate information and communication strategies that convey transparency in government to citizens.
  • Encourage effective information flow to the public through print media such as newsletters and local newspapers, social media platforms, and updates information to the County's website.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Public Relations Department,
  • Create and maintain the photo and video gallery of specific meetings, events, and projects.
